Why change? I want ethicalwine.com to have a wider reach. Although I have had some very loyal customers (a big thank-you to you - you know who you are!) the business has remained small. The whole point of founding the website was to spread best practice and to increase awareness of the ethical issues and of some of the great wines to be enjoyed. So small doesn't really achieve that. I have had some great emails from people outside the UK who love the website and would like to get hold of the wines as well and by recommending wines and linking to stockists and via winesearcher, people will be able to do this all over the world. It means the business model must change and I'm aiming for the website to be self-funding through trade sponsorship.
