Description"Much more than a great glass of wine" Oz Clarke has said of the Los Almendros wines and we heartily agree. Not only are these great quality and value for money but you are also assured that the farmers are paid a fair and stable price.
Warm, plum and damson fruit flavours with ripe tannins and a hint of chocolate before a long, soft finish. The Carmenere grape lends an attractive herbal quality to the fruit. Screwcap closure. More informationIn 1939 a massive earthquake devastated the Curico Valley killing 10,000 people in just two minutes. Following this devastation, a group of farmers and workers formed the Los Robles Co-operative to help rebuild the local community. In June 2004 Vinos Los Robles were Fairtrade certified.
The Los Robles Premium Committee invests the Fairtrade premium in projects that benefit the growers and their communities which include health insurance, a new canteen and even a school bus. The Fairtrade premium generated from the sale of Los Almendros wines will directly benefit the children of Los Almendros School in Palquibudi.
